Marguerite Sorzano never donated to the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, but last year, we received her Last Will and Testament that named the Free Clinic as a beneficiary. The plan included a gift of $85,000 dedicated to the Virginia & David Baldwin Women’s Residence.
Marguerite left behind an incredible gift. The cost to provide housing and support services to one woman at the Women’s Residence for one year costs $10,000. Now, eight women are getting the second chance they deserve with Marguerite’s generous gift.
The Women’s Residence has provided housing, services and resources for single homeless women since 1989. The women are supported as they work toward their goal of self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Last year, the Women’s Residence helped 123 women reach this goal.
Marguerite’s story is a reminder that naming the Free Clinic in your will is one meaningful way to change lives.
Consider including the Free Clinic in your estate plans to leave a lasting legacy of hope. Please contact Debbie Sokolov at 727-821-1200, ext. 110 for more information.
