The next SPFC Values in Action highlight is Shuntae Coleman, SPFC Lead Case Manager in our Residential Programs. She began her career with SPFC in February 2020 as a Residential Case Manager and was promoted to Lead Case Manager in October 2022.
Dr. La’ Toya Worlds-Bell, Director of Residential Programs, notes, "Shuntae goes beyond for the Residential Programs. She is always willing to help and very proactive in her position. Shuntae's responsiveness is always quick and positive."
In a recent interview, Shuntae shared that responsiveness shows up in her work when she thinks about how she can best help the residents and staff. When Shuntae sees something that needs to be fixed, she takes action, from filling in different shifts to assisting a resident with their resume or helping them complete various job applications.
Shuntae is inspired to research and learn about new resources that others will find supportive. She brings a sense of humor to the residents and staff that encourages them to take a light-hearted approach to matters and works to find creative solutions when difficulties arise.
Empathy is Shauntae's favorite value. It helps guide her to accommodate each individual with understanding and compassionately meet those she serves.
