Last year the Free Clinic’s Prescription Drug Assistance Program provided prescription medicines worth more than $3.6 million in retail value to our Health Center clients. Without this assistance, clients would not be able to afford the much-needed medications to manage their health conditions.

High blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol are among the most common diagnosis of Free Clinic patients, and medicines for high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol levels are some of the priciest prescription drugs. The Health Center also provides education programs to help clients better manage chronic medical conditions.

The Health Center provides health care for adults who do not have any types of medical insurance. It provides basic health and wellness services, blood pressure and blood sugar testing, and physical therapy.

In 2018, the Health Center provided 9,304 basic health and wellness services and 1,074 procedures, including oral health services for patients through the Dental Clinic.
