In the holiday spirit of giving, a local company provided gifts to those in need of hope at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s Men’s and Family Residences. The local Southeast Giving Council of Nestor Sales, national tool and equipment distribution company in Largo, had an employee-driven Giving Tree to collect gifts.

The drive collected enough gifts for 46 people living at the Free Clinic’s Men’s and Family Residences to have a brighter holiday. Children received gifts like dolls, drones and remote control cars, and adults received much-needed clothing.

The families who are temporarily living in our Family Residence are working through barriers to stable housing. Many times, the families are focused on the goal of securing stable housing, and money is not available to purchase Christmas gifts for their children.

The men in the Free Clinic’s Men’s Residence are transitioning from homelessness to long-term housing independence and financial stability. Often, the men living in the residence have few personal possessions, and gifts of clothing can help them feel comfortable and confident in pursuing employment or attending college classes.
