Women's Res Table

When you look at this table what do you see? Do you see a place for people to sit and eat? We see the first stable source of food many women entering our Women’s Residence have seen in a long time. We see a place of encouragement, dedication and hard work. We see the road to independence.

When women come to stay at St. Petersburg Free Clinic Women’s Residence they come from many walks of life. One woman spent her entire life working only to lose her health insurance at work and soon she finds herself homeless after multiple large medical bills. Another has battled hard circumstances in life and just needs a stable home to do the hard work of working towards independence. Regardless of the circumstances that bring these women to the Women’s Residence, every single one expresses to us the value of having a stable roof over her head and food on her plate to begin working towards her goals.

The food you donate on #GivingTuesday will support not only the Food Bank but it will also help feed the women, men and families that reside at our residences. When you help #FilltheTable at our residences you are helping our neighbors in need work towards independence.

So, when you look at this table what do you see? We hope you see a place that is making a real difference in the lives of women in our community with your help.

Many of our neighbors in need struggle to afford food year round and the burden becomes very heavy during the holidays. That is why for #GivingTuesday on December 2nd we are asking you to help us #FilltheTable for our neighbors in need. Learn more about this exciting event>
