“Creating a home and building hope for women in need.”
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Director of our Women’s Residence receives approximately 1,800 inquiries annually yet has room to house only 20 residents at a time. The new home, made possible by Saving Grace, increases the capacity to house 50 residents at one time.
Since 1989, St. Petersburg Free Clinic Women’s Residence has been the only one of its kind in Pinellas County.
WHY IS THE PROGRAM SO SUCCESSFUL?
+ Each woman is provided a complete comprehensive program individualized just for her.
+ Each woman meets with her case worker weekly to track progress.
+ Each woman must complete a 90-day probationary period.
+ Each woman who “graduates” the program remains connected and is provided support, if necessary, so she may maintain her independence.
+ Each woman arrives with her own history and story of what forced her into homelessness. Many are mothers, sisters and wives who are reunited with their families as a result of our program.
HELP US ANSWER THE CALL
Saving Grace will require an investment of $4,000,000 and we are well on our way but we need everyone’s participation. St. Petersburg Free Clinic has always held the philosophy of neighbor helping neighbor and Saving Grace is no different.
Groundbreaking took place January 6, 2015 and construction is underway. Please join us in creating a legacy that will transform lives and provide a home and hope for women in need.
It is the resident who puts in the hard work to transform her life. Our job is to provide the resources to make that possible.
